This 49-year-old African American woman from Blacklick, OH came to the Columbus Institute of Plastic Surgery to meet with top board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Bivik Shah regarding her abdomen. She was unhappy with the appearance of her belly for quite some time. She had some extra skin and tissue in her abdomen that was not appealing to her. The only way to tighten up and tone this area is to completely remove the excess skin. That’s exactly what Dr. Shah did! The incision is made from hip to hip and right along the panty line – so it is easy to hide. The tissue and skin is dissected, the excess skin and fat is removed. She had liposuction to the upper belly and flanks (love handles) as well. The patient is photographed before and 6.5 months post surgery.
