    Rhinoplasty for all those Social Media Shots

    Published on February 2, 2015

    Whether it’s  “selfies” taken at home or some distant location, or group photos snapped at work and social events, personal pictures are popping up all over the Internet.  With so many images of oneself out there online it’s hard not to notice and think about the various positives and negatives of appearance.  Some people may start noticing lines or creases in their faces, while others may have their attention drawn to a double chin or baggy eyes.

    But, there is one facial feature that (literally) stands out in front of the others – the nose.

    If your nose is too large for your face, misshapen, with a bulbous or drooping tip, or has some other problem you can’t help but notice, perhaps receiving a rhinoplasty or nose-fixing surgery would be something to consider.

    The purpose of a rhinoplasty procedure is to increase the harmony of your facial features and to restore balance and proportion to your face.  A beautiful face has the nose that works well with the rest of its features.

    Specifically a nose job can:

    * Correct impaired breathing caused by structural damage to your nose.  One of the most common causes of breathing impairment is a deviated septum.  This problem can be corrected by a qualified plastic surgeon adjusting the nasal structure.

    * Correct nose size in relation to facial balance

    * Reduce or otherwise correct the width of the bridge

    * Correct the size or position of the nostrils

    * Correct nostrils that are large, wide, or upturned

    * Enhance the nose profile by reducing humps or filling in depressions on the bridge

    * Fix a nasal tip that is too large or bulbous or is upturned, drooping or hooked

    * Restore overall nasal symmetry

    It is interesting to note, that no face is completely symmetrical.  A fully natural look depends, in part, on keeping that in mind.r

    If you are unhappy with the look and feel of your nose for any reason, get a consultation with a top Plastic Surgeon who is experienced and board certified in rhinoplasty.  A properly performed nose job can make you so much happier when you look at pictures of yourself in an old-fashioned photo album or anywhere online.
