This is a 38-year-old African American woman from Twinsburg, Ohio who had been dissatisfied with the appearance of her belly (abdomen) for quite some time. She came to The Columbus Institute of Plastic Surgery to meet with the board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Bivik Shah to get more information about a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty). He described to her all of the aspects of the procedure and she decided to get scheduled. Within this procedure, Dr. Shah makes an incision from hip to hip. He then removes the excess skin, tightens the abdominal muscles, and pulls the skin nice and tight! This patient had a total of 7.2 lbs removed from her abdomen with this procedure. The scar is easy to hide below the panty line. This patient’s after photos were taken 2 months after surgery.
