This 22 year old woman from Columbus, Ohio came to the Columbus Institute of Plastic Surgery to enhance the appearance of her buttocks. She met with the board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Bivik Shah, and he discussed with her the options she had. She was able to choose between silicone buttock implants or fat grafting to the buttocks. She decided that the fat grafting would not give her the look she was going for, so she decided upon the buttock implants. These photos are displayed from the side view to show the enhanced shape this patient got from the implants. Within this procedure, two incisions are made in a “V” shape at the top and center of the buttocks. The implants are placed above the muscle in each buttock. The scar is then very easily hid by panties or a thong. The scar does take up to a year and a half to look its very best.
