Currently, one of the most popular cosmetic procedures, is the Fat Transfer Butt Augmentation, also known as the Brazilian Butt Lift.
Butts come in different sizes and shapes. Some people have never really felt comfortable about the look and feel of their own behinds and for others they are just fed up with the flattening and sagging that occurs with age. People have small butts, large ones, flat butts and even what appears to be no butt at all. Some of these rear ends respond to diet and exercise, becoming fuller and rounder as a result altered eating habits and time spent at the gym; most do not.
To get those round and voluptuous buttocks, more and more people are turning to cosmetic Surgery. The Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery lifts, enhances and rounds the current butt without the use of implants.
In a sense, with the fat transfer procedure, you are looking at two or more cosmetic procedures being done at one time. In a Brazilian Butt Lift the surgeon extracts the patients own body fat from areas like the abdomen, thighs, arms or “love handles”. This step is what is known as liposuction.
After the patient’s extra fat has been removed from one or more donor areas on their body, it is purified and processed for reinsertion into the buttocks area. This is where you need a truly artistic and skillful cosmetic surgeon. The fat is injected into different locations and depths of the gluteus to give the patient the right look, size and roundness.
The main concern with Fat Transfer Butt Augmentation is the survival of the transplanted fat. Approximately 50% to 60% of the fat survives the transfer. The rest of the fat dies off and gets reabsorbed into the body. Fat needs sufficient blood flow to live, so one of the aspects of transplant your surgeon pays attention to is placing the fat as close to muscle tissue as possible, where it can get this much needed blood. Many surgeons incorporate platelet rich plasma from the patient’s own blood to increase the survival rate of the newly transplanted fat.
As with any surgery, you will have some swelling at the implant site and possibly some pain in both the donor areas of your body and the location where the transferred fat was injected (you butt).
But after all your body's adjustments and your recovery from the surgery you will see a fuller, firmer, rounder and higher butt. And, don’t forget, the donor areas where the fat was removed. These will be thinner and shapelier than ever!
