This 58 year old woman came from Logan, OH to Columbus Institute of Plastic Surgery to enhance the appearance of her belly after having gastric bypass surgery. Due to this surgery she gladly lost a lot of weight and as a result she was left with excess skin and tissue as you can see in the before photo. She met with the board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Bivik Shah and together they discussed her options. An abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) is the only way to remove this excess skin and tissue. The incision is made from hip to hip in order to pull the skin down tight. The incision continues up and down the middle of her abdomen to pull the skin tight from side to side. She had a total of 7.21lbs removed from her abdomen. The after photo was taken 5 months after surgery.
