Tumescent Liposuction for Liposuction without general anesthesia or while you are awake

The best plastic surgeons use tumescent liposuction for any liposuction procedure.

This is not a new technique, in fact, it has been around for decades. The best part is that for small areas of liposuction you can use tumescent liposuction for complete anesthesia so that you don’t need any other liposuction at all!

Tumescent liposuction is put in at the beginning of the procedure by making a very tiny (about the size of a pencil lead) and infusing fluid that is specially mixed with numbing medication, epinephrine (to cut down on bleeding and bruising), and bicarbonate to help you not feel the infusion and buffer the solution. This whole process takes about 20 min. Then we wait about 20 min and start the liposuction! That’s it!
