This patient is a 46 year old woman from Barboursville, West Virginia who came to The Columbus Institute of Plastic Surgery to consult with the plastic surgeon Dr. Bivik Shah about having a belt lipectomy surgery done. The incision for a belt lipectomy is made around the entire waist for the excess fat and skin to be removed from the stomach, sides, and back. The after photos were taken 1 month after surgery. The scar is still healing and will take about 1 to 2 years to look as good as possible.
