This 47-year-old woman from Martinsburg, Ohio had a breast augmentation in earlier years. She started noticing that her breasts looked a bit different from one another. She came to The Columbus Institute of Plastic Surgery to have Dr. Bivik Shah take a look. He described to her that sometime the capsule in which the breast implant sits, does not adjust to the implant and will not allow the implant to sit right because it forms a tight hammock-like structure around the implant. Together they decided to go in and remove this capsule (capulectomy) so that her implants could fall in place like it should and exchange with a larger 600cc silicone implant.
