This 27 year old male came to the Columbus Institute of Plastic Surgery for Gynecomastia surgery (male breast reduction). This procedure is necessary for men when they have that buildup of breast tissue that is extremely difficult to get rid of, even with exercise. He met with the board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bivik Shah and together they discussed the different levels of gynecomastia (level I, II, and III). This person and Dr. Shah decided on level II. Within this procedure, there is liposuction to the chest and an incision is made around the underside of the nipple through which breast tissue is removed. The after photo here was taken six and a half months after his surgery. The best results will show after about a year and a half.
