This woman came to Columbus Institute of Plastic Surgery for lip augmentation. Though we offer a variety of options, Dr. Bivik Shah and this woman decided on temporary filler. The filler, Juvederm, is directly injected into the lips (or other desired areas) and may lasts anywhere from 6 months to a year. There is some mild swelling and bruising involved with the recovery, however, that clears up within the first week. The after photo of this woman was taken immediately after the filler was injected.
