This is a 29 year old woman from Columbus, Ohio, who wanted liposuction to the belly and love handles (4 areas). We discussed the different types of liposuction including Smartlipo and decided on tumescent liposuction. She had this with no general anesthesia (being put to sleep) at the Columbus Institute of Plastic Surgery. During surgery she had 1500 cc, or about three quarters of a 2 liter pop bottle of fat removed. This would be about 4 pounds of fat. The plastic surgery after pictures are 6 weeks after her liposuction surgery. Usually, it takes about 6 months after liposuction for all of the swelling to go away, so she will actually look even better in a about 3 months. The scars for the liposuction are in the groin, so you cannot see them.
