This is a 49-year-old African American woman from Columbus Ohio who was at odds with the “hooding” or excess skin on her upper eyelids, and the puffiness present on her lower eyelids. She met with Dr. Bivik Shah in consultation to see what could be done to help her. He explained how an upper and lower blepharoplasty would be most beneficial to achieve what she is looking for. This was performed under IV (twilight) sedation. She is photographed here before and just 1 full month following surgery.
