This is a 20 year old Asian woman who wanted liposuction to the Abdomen ( belly). At the Columbus Institute of Plastic Surgery, we reviewed the risks of liposuction plastic surgery and determined that she was an excellent candidate. The patient underwent liposuction, traditional (Smartlipo® is offered at the Columbus Institute of Plastic Surgery, but was not necessary). Dr. Bivik Shah removed 1900 cc of fat, which about a 2 liter pop bottle of fat, or about 4 pounds. The pictures are 6 weeks after surgery. The swelling from liposuction can last up to 6 months, so she will continue to improve even more! The incisions are in the groin, and about the size of your fingernail. As you can see, the liposuction incisions are tiny and easily hidden.
