This 60 year old woman came to the Columbus Institute of Plastic Surgery for a breast reduction. She had been experiencing quite a few health issues due to her large breasts such as back, shoulder, and neck pain, and rashes under her breasts. She met with the board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Bivik Shah and he suggested to her a wise pattern breast reduction. Wise pattern refers to the type of incision and scar that will be left behind. The scar will go directly around the nipple, a straight line down to the crease of her breast, and a directly along the crease of the breast (as you can see in the after photo). The after photo here was taken 6 months after surgery and the scar will continue to heal over the course of the next year.
