    CoolSculpting Columbus

CoolSculpting in Columbus is a non-surgical non-invasive treatment for the reduction of fat. It uses selective cryolipolysis to contour troubled areas of the body. Selective cryolipolysis was first used by Harvard scientists R. Rox Anderson and Dieter Manstein.

    Why do people get CoolSculpting?

Low self-esteem is a problem that haunts many people, and it is often caused by how people perceive their appearance. Many individuals desire a sculpted and aesthetically pleasing body, but in some cases, no amount of diet and exercise can eliminate those last few inches of stubborn fat.

This is where CoolSculpting comes in. CoolSculpting can freeze fat away without surgical intervention. This means no scars, no incisions, no scalpels, no stitches, and no frustrating or painful downtime.

    What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting uses controlled cooling to freeze stubborn fat cells under the skin while preserving the health of surrounding cells. The frozen fat cells are destroyed and then naturally eliminated by the body over time, which results in a reduction of the volume of the treatment area.

When you lose weight with diet and exercise, you typically only reduce the number on the scale, and not the number of fat cells in your body. The fat cells only get smaller. By destroying the fat cells with CoolSculpting, permanent fat loss occurs. It can be used on various parts of the body, including the abdomen, inner thighs, outer thighs, arms, knees, neck, hips, back, and buttocks. It is an excellent option for the treatment of belly fat and love handles.

    Candidates for CoolSculpting

The CoolSculpting procedure is not recommended for women who are pregnant, are planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. These life changes can negatively affect the results of the treatment. It is also not a solution for obesity. Instead, it is an effective spot-contouring treatment for those last few inches of pinchable fat. It is ideal for patients who are near or are at their ideal weight.

    The Consultation

During your consultation with Lynae, our CoolSculpting specialist, she will evaluate your problem area to determine if it is enough to fill the cooling cup used for fat freezing. She will also explain the procedure in detail, answer any questions you may have, and provide before-and-after photos for your reference.

    The CoolSculpting Procedure

At the start of the treatment, a warming gel pad is placed on the treatment area, followed by the CoolSculpting applicator. A vacuum is then used to hold the fatty tissue in place. This may cause a feeling of mild pinching and tugging.

The applicator delivers precise cooling to the targeted fat. Over time—typically a treatment can range from 35 to 45 minutes—the intensity of the cooling will cause the treatment area to feel numb. The skin itself will remain unharmed, though a little bit of bruising and swelling may develop afterward.

The destroyed fat cells are metabolized by the body and are then eliminated gradually. The initial results of the treatment may be seen within around four weeks. However, complete results are not seen until after three months.

    The result is spectacular

    Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I Maximize My CoolSculpting Results?

After a CoolSculpting session, it’s essential to set yourself up for the best possible results. That means following our post-treatment instructions, which will likely include avoiding anti-inflammatory medications for at least five days. We may also ask you to massage the treatment area(s) for two minutes at a time, three times per day, to promote fat tissue metabolization.

In some cases, patients may need an additional session four to six weeks later. Of course, it is also crucial that you continue your healthy eating and exercise habits now and into the future to keep your results as consistent as possible.

    Is CoolSculpting Covered by Insurance?

CoolSculpting is usually not covered by insurance, but we encourage you to contact your provider about your specific plan. We also offer financing options for certain treatment plans.

    Does CoolSculpting Eliminate Saggy Skin?

CoolSculpting treatments are primarily used to eliminate unwanted fat tissue, not tighten saggy skin. However, we perform a variety of skin-tightening procedures, such as tummy tucks, arm lifts, and thigh lifts.

    Will CoolSculpting Cause Saggy Skin?

CoolSculpting does not cause additional saggy skin, either. Saggy skin is typically the result of more dramatic weight loss, which is not our goal with a CoolSculpting procedure.
