This beautiful 24-year-old African American woman from Columbus, OH came to the Columbus Institute of Plastic Surgery to improve the appearance of her nose. She had a rhinoplasty with rib graft. During this surgery, a piece of the rib is carefully removed and placed in the bridge (dorsum) of her nose to give a better profile and make the nose project more. This procedure is a great way to improve the overall look of the nose – increasing the bridge will make your nose look thinner, better shaped, and position the tip better. This procedure is performed under General Anesthesia and takes approx. 2.5 hrs. Rhinoplasty patients experience swelling but will continue to improve over time. This patient is shown before, and just 7 months post op.
